The wedding of Pete & Sarah @ the Royal Bath Hotel, Bournemouth

The last wedding of 2010 for me was Pete & Sarah's wedding at the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth, Dorset. Pete & Sarah decided to see out the end of the year with the best celebration of all - their beautiful wedding. A great occasion with the ceremony held at Lansdowne church followed by a fun afternoon and evening at the Royal Bath.

It stayed dry on the day so we were able to get a few select photos outside in the gardens.

A beautiful, emotional service shared by all their family and friends.

Thank you Pete & Sarah for having me as your wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to spend your special day with you both.

Simon and Lara's Wedding @ Kingston Country Courtyard

My last wedding before Christmas in 2010 was at Kingston Country Courtyard near Corfe Castle in Dorset. The wedding ceremony of Simon and Lara was in the beautiful village church, St Mary's of Lytchett Matravers. After a night of snowfall, the church and reception venue (as well as everywhere else), took on that picturesque winter wonderland look. Fortunately the roads weren't too bad and most people were able to make it to the wedding. Whilst planning a winter wedding I'm sure it crosses the mind of the couples that it could snow on their wedding day. For many this is not the case, so I think it's very important to embrace this opportunity when it arises. Simon and Lara definitely made the most of it!

Simon and Lara are such a fun couple and very much embraced the beautifully transformed surroundings. They even enjoyed a little 'wedding day snow ball fight' whilst out having their photos taken!

This may well have been one of the coldest days for shooting a wedding but it was well worth it and a lot of fun.

Thank you Simon and Lara for having me as your wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to be part of your wedding and share this special day with you.

Dorset wedding photographer Tom Redman recent photo

This is one picture from a winter wedding I recently shot. To date this was probably the coldest day I have had to photograph a wedding on. When I left it was -6 °C on my way home! Despite the cold is was a beautiful day with the sun coming out after the morning snow.

Si & Chloe's Engagement Shoot in Windsor

Last week saw me and my beautiful wife Lizzie head up the M3 to photograph Si and Chloe in Windsor. I love Windsor and I was reminded of that fact when walking around photographing these two lovely, fun people. It was a very crisp winter morning and after our festive Starbucks coffees we all headed out into the cold. I've known Si for a few years so it was a great chance to hang out as well as capture some beautiful photos of them both.

I love the engagement photo shoots that I offer as I get to hear all the exciting plans for the wedding and talk about all the little details that go into their wedding. Sometimes I even get to hear where they are off to on their honeymoons!

One of the fun highlights of this photo shoot was finding a perfect location to stand for one of the shots. It just happened to be balanced across a window ledge and a stair rail - the passers-by found it pretty amusing too.

Thanks again Si and Chloe - I'm really looking forward to your wedding day in a few weeks time!
